Federal Voter Registrars enforce Voting Rights Act of 1965 MFDP worker, Bob Colman interviewing Mrs. Tinnie in a Mississippi Freedom Democratic Party office in Lexington. The MFDP collected affidavits of voter discrimination from residents such as Mrs. Tinnie, who were turned away in their attempts to register in Holmes County. The MFDP petitioned the federal government to replace the voter registrar in Holmes County. Lexington, Mississippi 8/15/1965
